A notable gathering in Madrid welcomed religious representatives, cultural figures and civic voices to mark the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The dialogue included a representative of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, and Denise González. Speakers shared different experiences and viewpoints on how mutual knowledge can help build more inclusive communities.
During the event, participants addressed themes such as tolerance, social cohesion and the prevention of discrimination. Fundación Mejora connected the initiative with Scientology’s emphasis on ethical values and community improvement. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, emphasised that cultural and religious diversity is a value for society when rooted in respect for human rights.
